Who does AI name? We will count it in public.
The first count looks at HVAC, roofing, dentists, and garage doors in 10 US cities. We will ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Google’s AI many times. Then we will share who gets named, who never does, and how often the answer changes.
Where it stands
- We plan to collect answers Oct 21 to Oct 25, 2026, Pacific time. The study comes after that.
- Each report will show the questions, how many times we asked, the dates, which AI, and the raw answers.
- It will not include a made-up rank, or a claim about one shop from a small sample.
